Roveredo – Boggiano Tower

This medieval watchtower stands in a dominant location on a rocky spur at the entrance to Val Traversagna, on the hillside leading from the Madonna del Ponte Chiuso Church to Camedo Pass. The tower affords a splendid panoramic view of a large portion of the Moesa Valley. Remaining today are the ruins of a four story square tower and an outer wall, suggesting a fortified complex. Just beneath the Tower of Boggiano, at Motta Garlenda, are the buried ruins of a tower, leading one to surmise that this was once a permanent settlement.
